My first real award in the Military.

"SPC Carnes was the pre-eminent component involved in Delta Troop's 2003 Command Inspection Program (CIP), selflessly and voluntarily sacrificing his time and expansive knowledge in an exhaustive attempt to procure an all 'green' from the CIP inspectors. There remains not the slightest imitation of doubt that, were it not for his ceaseless efforts, the successes that the Troop enjoyed would have been significantly fewer. The S-3 even authored bullets that focused solely on SPC Carnes' and his phenomenal organizational skills."

I'm proud of it. Though i still feel like i've been bought off..

Huah

Yeah, but that is how life is, at least they tried to buy you off. But at least its much more rewarding than being blown off after they use you? You just have to look for the good in each situation.

The fact of the matter is, if a company finds someone with a good work ethic (you, dan, and I are excellent examples), they will merely use us accordingly, and the fact of the matter is that upper management just sees us as assets on the balance sheet. I guess we all react differently to this knowledge.

My own personal belief is that I will give my employer my all, which is better than 99% of most employers deserve, but as with most things that I do I put a lot of emphasis on the principles of the situation. But I will give no employer my loyalty unless they earn it. Just as I am an asset to them, they are a paycheck to me, and if they don't promote me according to my work and skill they can forget it because I'm out. Its still a shame that people like us feel obliged to get the job done even when we have to do much more than we should be required to do (I could write a novel about doing my own job and the jobs of the other RAs as well).
